Armed robbers have made off with up to 100,000 euro from a security van at a north Dublin shopping centre.

A security guard on his way to refill a cash machine at Bayside Shopping Centre in Raheny was approached by two men with a sawn-off shotgun.

The man with the gun fired a shot during a struggle. The pair made off on a motorcycle with cash the security guard had been carrying.

Gardaí have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
