Around 1,000 people were injured in the stampede, AFP reports, citing police. According to La Republica, about 1,400 people were hurt, eight of which were seriously injured, one child among them.  More than 1,500 injured in the stampede have been treated, Italian media reports, citing the Turin prefecture.
Around 1,100 were taken to hospitals in Turin, with the rest taken to neighboring medical facilities, according to La Repubblica.
