An elderly couple have died and four other people have been taken to hospital following a three-car crash near Caerphilly on Tuesday afternoon. Two people who died in a three-car crash near Caerphilly on Tuesday have been named by South Wales Police as a 77-year-old man and his wife aged 75.
Thomas "Tommy" Jones and his wife Annie "Mo" Jones were from Beddau, Pontypridd were in a Renault Clio.

The road is closed in both directions until about 2000 BST and serious local congestion is being reported. Three women in a Chrysler Grand Voyager were seriously hurt and a man man in a Rover 416 was also injured.
The couple who were killed in the crash at 1415 BST were from Pontypridd and were travelling in a Renault Clio. The collision occurred at about 1415 BST on Tuesday.
Three people in a Chrysler Grand Voyager and one from a Rover 416 were taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. The four injured were taken to the University of Wales Hospital in Cardiff.
Police said the Rover driver was later discharged and early indications were that the other casualties had injuries which were not life-threatening. Road closed
Two people had managed to get themselves out the vehicles before the emergency services arrived. A 40-year-old woman from Bargoed, Rhymney Valley is described as being in a critical condition in hospital.
One woman had to be cut free from her car by fire crews using hydraulic cutting equipment. She was in the Grand Voyager with two other women, aged 42 and 31 and also from Bargoed, who are both in a serious condition .
A 33-year-old man from Senghennyd who was in the Rover was later discharged.
The road was closed in both directions for a number of hours.
