Police to recover fatal crash car Woman arrested over fatal crash

A car fitting the description of a vehicle used to run down and kill a woman in Renfrewshire is to be dragged from an Ayrshire reservoir. A woman has been arrested over a hit and run death in Paisley earlier this week, police have confirmed.
A Volkswagen Polo, matching witness descriptions, was found submerged in water near Beith on Wednesday. Margaret Borris, 39, was run down while walking with her son in the town on Monday.

She died a short time later in the Royal Alexandra Hospital. Police forensic officers will examine the car. A 45-year-old woman is expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court later on Thursday.
Strathclyde Police said they believed a woman was behind the wheel of the Volkswagen Polo when Mrs Borris was knocked down while walking on King Street in Paisley at about 1100 BST on Monday. Police said a Volkswagen Polo, matching witness descriptions, was found submerged in water near Beith on Wednesday.
Mrs Borris died in the Royal Alexandra Hospital a short time after being knocked down while walking on King Street with her 20-year-old son.
