Version 0 of 1.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of cutting hair from unsuspecting women travelling on buses in Bournemouth.

The man, from the Charminster area of the town, was held earlier this week but later released on bail.

Police said he was not arrested over the murder of mother-of-two Heather Barnett in Charminster in 2002. She was found with cut hair in her hands.

Police probing her death appealed on BBC Crimewatch for women who had hair cut on the town's buses to call them.

The investigation has so far resulted in more than 10 women coming forward.

The hair Mrs Barnett was clutching did not belong to her and despite extensive inquiries police have failed to trace who it did belong to.

Her body was found by her two children when they returned from school.

She had been stabbed several times and hit over the head with a blunt object.
