Man in court over Stormont breach Stone on Adams murder bid charge

A man is due to appear in court in Belfast following a major security incident at Stormont. A man has appeared in court in Belfast charged with attempting to murder Sinn Fein leaders Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness.
Loyalist Michael Stone will be charged with five counts of attempted murder, possession of articles for terrorist purposes and possession of explosives. Michael Stone faces a total of five charges of attempted murder following a major security incident at Stormont on Friday during an Assembly sitting.
He will also be charged with possession of an imitation firearm when he appears at Belfast Magistrates' Court. He was also charged with possession of articles for terrorist purposes and possession of explosives.
A meeting was being held at Stormont to hear if the DUP and Sinn Fein would indicate ministerial candidates. Mr Stone, 51, faces a further charge of possession of an imitation firearm.
Mr Stone, of no fixed address, appeared at Belfast Magistrates Court on Saturday.
