Two arrested over plane incidents

Two men on separate flights have been arrested after their planes touched down in Newcastle.

A 50-year-old man was arrested on an Easyjet flight from Krakow, in Poland, at 2325 BST on Sunday on suspicion of being drunk on board an aircraft.

Then just before midnight, a 37 year-old man from Glasgow was taken away by police after an Easyjet flight from Belfast.

He was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct, officers said.
