DETAILS TO FOLLOW A suspect was detained late Friday in a Stockholm suburb and subsequently arrested, according to Swedish police. The suspect is believed to be the driver of the truck, Reuters reports, citing police spokesman Lars Bystrom.
Several other people were questioned after the deadly incident, as police believe that there might be other people associated with the suspect.
The attack took place in Drottninggatan, one of the city’s main pedestrian areas, killing four and leaving 15 injured. The truck smashed through crowds of people before crashing into a department store. Swedish PM Stefan Lofven said the attack appeared to be an act of terrorism.
