The accused is further charged with driving whilst unfit, driving whilst disqualified and going equipped for burglary. A detective told the court he believed he could connect Joseph Thomas Brennan to the charges.
The man, who was arrested at the scene, is to appear in court on Friday. Mr Brennan, who is from Colinvale in Dunmurry, has denied he was the driver of the stolen car.
Police said officers spotted two cars being driven suspiciously on the Rock Road at about 0145 BST. He is accused of causing death by dangerous driving, driving under the influence of drink or drugs, having disposable gloves for use in a burglary and driving while disqualified.
The police attempted to block the road, but their own vehicle was rammed and the cars made off. Mr Brennan was remanded in custody at Craigavon Magistrates Court. His next hearing is on the 22nd of July.
A few minutes later another patrol car found a blue Honda Civic car crashed into a hedge on the Glenside Road. The passenger in the vehicle, Mr Wilson, was dead.
