Soldier, 29, stab murder victim 'Fine soldier' stabbed to death

The stabbing happened in Friars Lane at 0215 GMT on Thursday. Mr Ragni was taken to Withybush General Hospital and pronounced dead 25 minutes later. L/Cpl Ragni's commanding officer Lt Col Steve Vickery said his regiment was "deeply saddened" by the death.
He said L/Cpl Ragni had been with the regiment for two-and-a-half years during which time he had completed a tour of duty in Iraq and "served his country with distinction".
"L/Cpl Ragni was a fine soldier, a charismatic individual, and an avid Celtic football club supporter," said Lt Col Vickery.

"He was a friend to many in the regiment. The regiment is shocked at this tragic waste of a young life, and expresses its most sincere condolences to L/Cpl Ragni's family and friends."
He said the soldier had recently volunteered for another tour.
