A few hundred yards from the scene of the fight a cafe was broken into in the early hours of the morning, but it is not clear whether both the incidents are linked.
The owner of the cafe, Mark Khan said: "Got in here about ten to seven and saw the damage at the shop. I phoned the police.
"There were police here already and they told me not to go and had cordoned off the whole area."
