Three men have been arrested by detectives investigating serious crime, the police have said. Three more men have been arrested by detectives investigating serious crime, the police have said.
Officers from the PSNI Crime Operations Department, assisted by West Midlands Police, arrested a man in Birmingham. Earlier, officers arrested a man in Birmingham, one in north Belfast and another in the Poleglass area.
Another man was arrested in north Belfast, while a third was arrested in the Poleglass area. Three more men have now been arrested in north Belfast. It is believed a security alert in the north of the city is linked to the arrests.
"There are no further details at this time," a Police Service of Northern Ireland spokesman said. Army bomb experts are at a house in North Queen Street after the discovery of a suspicious object.
