A man has been found stabbed to death in a London street. A man has been found stabbed to death in the street in south London.
Police called to the Old Kent Road at 2230 BST on Monday discovered a man in his 30s with a stab wound to the upper body, Scotland Yard said. Hamouda Bessad, 34, was found by officers with a stab wound to his upper body at the Old Kent Road near the junction with East Street at 2230 BST.
The identity of the man, who is described as north African in appearance, has not been established. Mr Bessad, originally from Tunisia, was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem examination is expected to take place later.
Detectives said he was pronounced dead at the scene, close to the Total petrol station, at 2300 BST. A post-mortem examinaton will take place later. Two men aged 42 and 29 were arrested in the area and remain in custody at a south London police station.
