A West Midlands police spokesman said they could not say whether officers were looking for any other suspects. An ambulance spokesman said the man and woman suffered "very serious stab wounds" and said the second woman was in Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with "potentially life-threatening stab wounds".
