Two people have suffered "life-threatening" injuries after a car ploughed into several pedestrians outside of a hospital in Manchester. | |
Greater Manchester Police said they were called to a "serious collision" outside of Withington Hospital after 2pm. | |
"Two people, a man and a woman, have been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries", a spokesperson said. | |
"The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 80s, remained at the scene and is speaking with police." | |
North West Ambulance Service said an ambulance was called to the hospital around 2.05pm. | |
A spokeswoman said one casualty was taken to Wythenshawe hospital and one to Manchester Royal Infirmary, both with serious injuries. | |
She said there were no reports of any other casualties. | |
