A teenager has been stabbed and badly injured in central London, the Metropolitan Police has confirmed. A teenager has died after being stabbed in central London, the Metropolitan Police have said.
The victim, described by police as being in his mid-teens, was attacked during a row with a group of youths near York Way, King's Cross. The victim, believed to be aged 18, was attacked during a row with a group of youths near York Way, King's Cross.
York Way has been closed off as police investigate the incident which occurred at about 0200 BST. He was taken to hospital for treatment following the attack at about 0200 BST, but died several hours later.
Police have not yet released descriptions of any suspects or made any arrests. He is the 17th teenager this year to be killed in London, compared with 27 teenagers killed in 2007 - the worst year on record for teenage deaths.
