Sexually-motivated
Ms Westbury was alone in her flat with her baby son in the pram when Braithwaite carried out his attack.
She was discovered by her father later that day.
Prosecutor Victor Temple QC said the crime was "a particularly grave sexually-motivated murder".
Nine other attacks on two other women were left on file with the judge saying it was not in the public interest to go ahead with a trial for these offences.
Braithwaite pleaded guilty to murder and sexual penetration without consent.
