(about 12 hours later) | |
People in parts of north Wales are mopping up after heavy rain led to flooding.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service received nearly 50 calls for help from the public on Thursday night.

Fire engines were also called to properties in Denbighshire and Flintshire to help pump out water from several homes and businesses.
Rescue teams said calls started coming in at about 1800 BST, with high volume pumps dispatched to houses at Eastville Road in Rhyl, and two engines sent to a row of homes at Ffordd Penrhwylfa in Prestatyn.

Fire officers also spent the evening pumping out the cellars of the Royal Oak public house on Church Street in Flint, which was flooded just as it prepared to host a party.
The pub's Ann Hopwood said: "The rain started coming up. It started coming up from the grids. The beers are all gone, the carpets are wrecked I think. It smells horrendous."
Roads in the area were also blocked because of the rain.
Anne Horobin, who is mayor of Prestatyn, said: "I had to attend a meeting in Rhyl. On that journey I came across four areas on the main road that were flooded.
"In fact one of the roads just as you go into Rhyl had to be closed. It was pretty deep in certain areas."
Senior fire safety officer Richard Fairhead said high-volume pumping equipment was called in from Llandudno, as part of the national programme set up a year ago to tackle widespread flooding.
"The specialist crews in north Wales are well equipped to deal with flooding incidents," he added.
"We also have the ability to deal with localised flooding in the form of four water incident units based at Deeside, Ruthin, Bangor and Betws y Coed. | "We also have the ability to deal with localised flooding in the form of four water incident units based at Deeside, Ruthin, Bangor and Betws y Coed. |
