Following on from the Guardian’s event, Maintaining the Momentum for the SDGs, alongside the UN’s general assembly in New York, this April we will take the discussion to Latin America. The region of 625 million people is rich with natural resources, innovation and expertise, but a difficult economic climate, coupled with rapid urbanisation and climate change has impacted the Latin American people and the environment. Following on from the Guardian’s event, Maintaining the Momentum for the SDGs, alongside the UN’s general assembly in New York, this April we will take the discussion to Latin America.

Bringing together global and regional thought leaders, we will discuss how the adoption of the sustainable development goals can ensure the region’s economic and social development, the health of populations, while conserving the vast natural habitat.
