The premier, Gladys Berejiklian, said the incident was concerning.
“The community and myself do not like extremism of any type,” she said.
“I don’t want to tell people what to think, but what I do want to tell people is be respectful,” Berejiklian told reporters in Sydney on Tuesday.
“Do not impinge on other people’s rights and responsibilities, be respectful at all times if you want to express your view.”
