England cricketer Liam Plunkett, currently in Australia for the Ashes series, could be questioned by police over an alleged drink-driving incident. The 21-year-old bowler was breathalysed after leaving the Tall Trees nightclub in Yarm, near Stockton, in Teesside. He was given a roadside test and then arrested and taken for more tests after allegedly crashing his car. The results of the tests were not known when he flew to Australia for the Ashes series which starts on Thursday. The Durham paceman will be in the country for seven weeks before returning to the UK, when he will be questioned by Cleveland Police. A spokesman said the force would not be commenting on the incident. |
