Ms Kelk, of Humberside Police, added that police could not rule out the possibility that the victim had died from natural causes but said it was "highly unlikely". The results of the post-mortem test have not yet been revealed.
"People do not die generally in the open air and obviously by the sheer nature it's not an area in which we would expect to find people dead," she said. A police spokesman said the body was still clothed when it was found.
