A man has been charged by police in connection with a number of distraction thefts at cash machines in Belfast city centre. A man has been remanded in custody charged in connection with a number of thefts from ATM cash machines across Belfast.
The 20-year-old was arrested in the Skegoneil area of north Belfast on Thursday. Razvan Anghel, 20, from Romania, but now living at Keadyville Avenue, Belfast, is also accused of attempted theft and having a class C drug.
He is due to appear in court charged with theft and attempted theft. None of the charges were put to him in court, but during the brief hearing it emerged that gardai in Dublin have 14 outstanding warrants for his arrest.
He has also been charged with possession of class C drugs. The case was adjourned until Wednesday.
