Mills: split worse than limb loss
http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/rss/-/1/hi/entertainment/6171910.stm Version 0 of 1. Heather Mills has said she would rather lose the rest of her limbs than repeat the trauma of her marriage breakdown. In her first television interview since her split with Sir Paul McCartney, she told US entertainment show Extra she would never marry again. The 38-year-old former model, who lost a leg in a motorbike accident in 1993, said she had been "vilified". "I would rather someone come up and chop off all my limbs than go through what I went through," she said. She added: "It's a fact because if your limbs are chopped off you ... get another limb and there's light at the end of the tunnel. I would never go through this again Heather Mills "When you're vilified for doing nothing but falling in love with an icon ... I'd rather have all of my limbs cut off that's the God's honest truth." 'Unconditional love' Asked if she would ever marry again, Lady McCartney replied: "Never. I'm not saying that I wouldn't fall madly in love or have a soul mate or anything like that, but I would never go through this again. "It's too devastating. I mean most people know divorce is devastating anyway, but to go through it so publicly even when you haven't said a word or done anything." She insisted in the interview, which is being broadcast over several nights, that she had only been motivated by "unconditional love" in marrying the ex-Beatle. And she said she had not spoken about the split until now because she was concerned for the welfare of the couple's three-year-old daughter Beatrice. Sir Paul, 64, and Lady McCartney, 38, announced their separation in May after four years of marriage. |
