Unless they receive a retraction by noon, the Tories say they reserve the right to issue a writ. Unless the Lib Dems withdraw a leaflet and remove claims from their website by noon, the Tories say they will sue.

The row centres around a campaign to save Townlands community hospital, in Henley.
The Tories are understood to be angry about claims in a Lib Dem leaflet that Tory candidate John Howell watched the campaign "from the sidelines," when they say he was involved in it.

In a separate development, David Cameron told BBC Radio Berkshire and BBC Radio Oxford the party was planning to sue the Lib Dems over leaflets implying Boris Johnson backed the Lib Dem candidate. 'Appalling'
He said: "We are suing the Liberal Democrats over this so I think we will be in court. In a separate development, the Conservatives are also taking legal advice over a Lib Dem leaflet they say implies the Lib Dem candidate is backed by Mr Johnson.
"We have tried to put a stop to this because it's absolutely appalling. Boris Johnson backs John Howell 100% and this campaign by the Liberals is quite appalling." In interviews with BBC Radio Berkshire, Conservative leader David Cameron said: "We have tried to put a stop to this because it's absolutely appalling.
Tory sources later clarified the comments by saying the party was taking legal advice over the leaflet. "Boris Johnson backs John Howell 100% and this campaign by the Liberals is quite appalling."
It would be highly unusual for a party to sue over claims made in by-election literature.
