Police investigating the shooting of a 16-year-old girl in Manchester have charged a man. A man has appeared in court charged in connection with the shooting of a 16-year-old girl in Manchester.

A large part of the estate where the shooting took place was cordoned off and police patrols have been stepped up in the area to help reassure residents. Mr Bryan spoke only to confirm his name and address during the brief hearing at Manchester Magistrates' Court.
He is charged with possession of ammunition - a magazine with bullets - on 11 June, three days before the shooting.
The other charges all relate to the incident in which the youngster was injured on Saturday.
