No charges in army sex video case

Seven soldiers arrested over claims a teenage girl was smuggled onto an army base and then filmed having sex with troops will not be prosecuted.

The incident, involving a 15-year-old girl, is alleged to have happened at Bourlon Barracks at Catterick Garrison, North Yorkshire, on 31 March.

Seven soldiers aged between 17 and 28 were arrested and released on bail.

North Yorkshire Police said following a review of the evidence no charges would be brought against the arrested men.

A statement from the force said: "Having reviewed the evidence and consulted with the Crown Prosecution Service, it has been decided that North Yorkshire Police will not be taking any further action.

"The information obtained during this inquiry has been passed to the army for consideration of any internal proceedings."
