BBC One's talent search to find an actress for the role of Nancy in Cameron Mackintosh's new West End musical production Oliver! has begun. Samantha Barks has become the first actress to be kicked off the live final of the BBC talent show I'd Do Anything.
Jodie Prenger kicked off the live final of I'd Do Anything with the Dusty Springfield song Son of a Preacher Man. On hearing the results the 17-year-old said: "This has been the most amazing experience of my life."
She is competing against Samantha Barks and Jessie Buckley. A public vote will determine the winner, who will be revealed at 2045 BST by Graham Norton. Jodie Prenger and Jessie Buckley remain in the competition which is searching for an actress to play Nancy in the new West End musical Oliver!
