A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a three-year-old girl died following a mini-motorcycle collision. A man has been remanded in custody over the death of a three-year-old girl who died after a mini-motorcycle collision.
Abbie Louise Perris from Monks Dyke Road in Louth, Lincolnshire, was riding on the bike's petrol tank when it was in collision with a truck on Monday. George Franklin, 22, and also from Monks Dyke Road, Louth, is Abbie's mother's partner. George Franklin, 22, also from Monks Dyke Road, was charged with causing death by dangerous driving and remanded "for his own protection".
Mr Franklin is due to appear before Boston magistrates on Wednesday. Mr Franklin will appear at Lincoln Crown Court on 4 June.
Mr Franklin, Abbie's mother's partner, was driving the bike at the time of the collision.
Prosecuting solicitor Sue Holden told the court: "Mr Franklin is remanded in to custody also for his own protection. It is not in his interests to go back (home)."
