A man has been remanded in custody over the death of a three-year-old girl who died after a mini-motorcycle collision. | |
Abbie Louise Perris, from Monks Dyke Road in Louth, Lincolnshire, was riding on the bike's petrol tank when it was in collision with a truck on Monday. | |
George Franklin, 22, also from Monks Dyke Road, was charged with causing death by dangerous driving and remanded "for his own protection". | |
Mr Franklin will appear at Lincoln Crown Court on 4 June. | |
Mr Franklin, Abbie's mother's partner, was driving the bike at the time of the collision. | |
Prosecuting solicitor Sue Holden told the court: "Mr Franklin is remanded in to custody also for his own protection. It is not in his interests to go back (home)." | |
