Man critical after car collision Motorist killed in bus collision

A man in his 60s is in a critical condition following a crash involving a bus carrying 28 schoolchildren and a car in County Donegal. A man has died after a crash involving a bus carrying 27 schoolchildren and a car in County Donegal.
The man, who was driving the car, is being treated at Letterkenny Hospital. It happened on the main Letterkenny to Ballybofey road at about 1630 BST on Monday. The Bus Eireann was heading from Londonderry to Donegal town.
Two students from the Royal and Prior School in Raphoe and an elderly woman suffered minor injuries. The 34-year-old car driver was pronounced dead at Letterkenny General Hospital.
The accident happened at Kilross, a few miles outside Stranorlar, on the main road to Letterkenny at about 1630 BST on Monday. The road has been closed. A student from the Royal and Prior School in Raphoe and a man aged in his 70s suffered minor injuries.
Following the collision the bus, which was fitted with seatbelts, turned over on its side in a field.
The road remains closed while Gardai carry out a forensic crash scene investigation and is expected to remain closed for a number of hours.
