A man who died after falling overboard from a ferry off the Pembrokeshire coast has been named as Patrick Joseph Keating, from Ireland.

The 57-year-old was from Knocknacarra in County Galway.

An air-sea search was launched after he had disappeared from a ferry due to dock at Pembroke early on Saturday.

His body was pulled from the sea by an RAF helicopter near the Texaco oil refinery at Milford Haven. Police said his death was not suspicious.

The alarm was raised by the captain of the 'Isle of Inishmore' ferry shortly after midnight on Saturday and Milford Haven Coastguard co-ordinated the search.

Mr Keating's body was located by the crew of a tug taking part in the search and was airlifted to Withybush Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
