A murder inquiry has been launched after the battered body of a teenager was found in a park a West Yorkshire. | |
Detectives said the youth, aged 17 or 18, was the victim of a "brutal" attack. He was found in Crow Nest Park in Dewsbury at 1930 BST on Sunday. | |
The boy, who was Asian, was described as "smartly dressed" in white tracksuit bottoms and a white Bench top. | |
Det Supt Chris Thompson said: "This young man was subjected to a sustained and brutal attack." | |

Mr Thompson, who is leading the investigation, said a post-mortem examination was expected later. He refused to say whether a murder weapon had been used. | |
"As it was a sunny day it was very busy and there was a large number of young people in the park," he said. | |
