Girl, 16, missing for six days

The family of a missing schoolgirl from Bridgend, south Wales have appealed for her to get in touch.

Jessica Brown, 16, left her home in Blackmill in the town at about 0230 BST last Monday and was later seen being dropped off on Newport Road in Cardiff.

She is white, 5ft 3in (1.6m) tall, of slim build, has a pierced tongue and was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and carrying a pink holdall.

Her family said they are very worried about her and asked her to call them.

In a statement issued by South Wales Police, Jessica's family said: "We are very worried about you, please call us.

"Jessica, we want you to know that we miss you and we really want you back. We are very worried about you, please get in touch."

South Wales Police Det Insp Chris Mullane added: "We are concerned for Jessica's welfare and are asking anyone who has seen her to contact us immediately.

"If Jessica sees or hears this appeal we urge her to call us or her family as soon as possible to let us know she is safe and well."
