http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/rss/-/1/hi/england/wiltshire/7417397.stm Version 0 of 1. CCTV images have been released by police hunting vandals who damaged Stonehenge. Wiltshire Police want to speak to two men seen at the site at about the time the Heel Stone was damaged. A security guard at the site disturbed two men vandalising the stones with a hammer and screwdriver. The pair ran off after the incident on 15 May, but police hope tourists in the area at the time may be able to help them identify the men. Pc William Marks said: "Damaging this ancient monument is of great concern to us and we are determined to take strong measures to catch those responsible. "If anyone recognises the individuals caught on CCTV or saw two men acting suspiciously in the area at the time of the incident I would ask them to get in touch. "It may also be that tourists were in the area at the time and if anyone took photographs of the incident I would be keen to speak to them." |
