Version 0 of 1.

An articulated lorry driver was driven away in the boot of a car after his vehicle was hijacked in County Antrim.

The driver was on Larne's Belfast Road at about 0230 BST on Thursday when men in a silver Audi car indicated something was wrong with the lorry.

When the driver stopped to check he was bundled into the boot of the car and driven off. He was later released at a hotel on the Antrim Road, Glengormley.

The ransacked lorry was recovered at the scene of the hijacking.

It is not yet known if anything was stolen from the vehicle, which was carrying foodstuffs.

Detectives want to hear from anyone who witnessed the hijacking, or noticed the hijackers or a silver Audi car at Belfast Road in Larne or at the Antrim Road in Glengormley.
