Eight firefighters have gone missing while putting out a fire at a warehouse in eastern Moscow, the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry said. Contact cannot be established with eight firefighters who were combating the fire. Emergency workers have recovered the bodies of the missing firefighters while searching through the charred remains of the building. 
"We are trying to understand what happened to them,” the ministry told TASS. “The bodies have been discovered at the suspected location, where the main search have been conducted,” a source in the Russian Emergencies Ministry told RIA Novosti.
A police source told TASS the preliminary data indicated that the firefighters were dead. The fire has been extinguished at 7:44 local time. 
“Their bodies haven’t been located yet. The building is on fire, there is heavy and suffocating smoke from burning plastic materials,” the source added. A police source told TASS that during the rescue operation the roof collapsed. The firefighters have presumably died beneath the rubble.
