An electrical fault is thought to have caused an early morning blaze in Wrexham town centre.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service was called to Denbighshire Travel Agency in Lord Street at 0745 BST.

A spokeswoman said 20% fire damage had been caused to the shop and office space above had also been affected.

Crews in four fire engines used breathing apparatus and thermal imaging cameras to tackle the blaze. There were no reported injuries.

A neighbouring coffee bar, Cafe Espresso, also suffered visible damage.

Part of Lord Street was still cordoned off at 0900 BST.
