What is Andrew Rosenthal mad about this week? News of Donald Trump’s latest brush with campaign finance rules.

The worst news of the week, Mr. Rosenthal says, is that despite the spread of Zika in the United States, Congress cannot pass legislation needed to fund the Centers for Disease Control’s effort to contain the virus. Why? Because, Mr. Rosenthal says, the Republican-controlled Congress will not miss an opportunity to press its “preposterous social agenda.”

Last, the good news. “Finally,” Mr. Rosenthal says, “a trial in the comic opera known as Bridgegate!” Referring to the trial connected to the George Washington Bridge lane-closing scandal, Mr. Rosenthal celebrates the fact that the public may get answers about who knew what and when about a scandal that helped derail Gov. Chris. Christie of New Jersey’s presidential campaign.
