In a statement to RT, Police Scotland confirmed officers cordoned off an area in the Lawnmarket to pedestrians and traffic while they worked to resolve an incident “after receiving a report of concern for a male occupant”. | |
“We can confirm that a disturbance reported at an address in the Lawnmarket earlier today (Sunday) came to a peaceful conclusion at around 4:00pm,” said a spokesperson. | |
“A man has since been detained in relation to this matter”. | |
“Local roads have been fully reopened and the public is thanked for their patience and cooperation,” they concluded. |
