Police are waiting to question a 33-year-old man over the deaths of a family of four in Newcastle. A 33-year-old man is being held in connection with the deaths of two children, their mother and her brother.
The man is said to be a relative of two adults and two children, who were found dead in Hawthorn Gardens on Tuesday. Olufunke Sobo, 36, her brother Yemi, and her children, Abigail, 12, and five-year-old Steven Crampton were found in Hawthorn Gardens, Newcastle.
No details of the dead people have been officially released, but it is understood the children are a girl aged about nine and a boy aged about five.
