The Nasahablood Hotel, located at the KM4 road area of Mogadishu is currently under siege, according to police.
There have yet been no official report on casualties, but witnesses claim on social media they’ve seen bodies lying on the ground.
"They started with a suicide bomb and then stormed in. Now they are inside and the heavy exchange of gunfire continues," Major Nur Farah told Reuters.
There have been reports suggesting the initial explosion was followed by at least two more.
