Update: Five soldiers are now confirmed killed, and four are still missing after their Army troop carrier was washed from a low-water crossing and overturned in a flooded creek at Fort Hood, Texas, according to the Texas army post.
Army aircraft and canine search teams continue to look for the four soldiers who remain missing. Aerial and ground crews are also searching through a 20-mile creek.
The names of the dead have not been released as the Army is still notifying relatives.
Fort Hood had more than two-and-a-half to three inches of rain from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday afternoon, the National Weather Service in Fort Worth reported.
