The bomber detonated an explosive vest among young men standing outside an army recruitment centre in Khor Maksar. The bomber targeted young men queuing to enlist at the home of a senior army commander in the Khormaksar district.
One report said a second bomber later blew himself up beside a separate group of recruits, killing another 25 people. Shortly afterwards there was a second blast at the nearby Badr army base.
