A man has been arrested after four women were stabbed in a Sainsbury’s car parkin Hampton, south-west London, police said. A man in his 60s has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after three women were stabbed in a Sainsbury’s car park in west London on Friday morning.
Officers were called at about 10.35am to The Avenue after receiving reports of a man being in possession of a knife. None of the women had suffered life-threatening injuries, according to police, but one local media report claimed that one woman was taken to hospital in an air ambulance after paramedics arrived at the scene.
Officers attended and discovered three women with from knife wounds. Their conditions are not thought to be life-threatening. Police said the suspect was subdued with the threat of a Taser, although the device was not discharged during the arrest.
A fourth woman who also suffered knife wounds was found at a nearby property. She was taken to hospital where her condition is thought to be life-threatening. Officers attended the scene on The Avenue in Hampton, on the suburban edge of Richmond-upon-Thames, after receiving a call at 10.35am that a man was carrying a knife, the Metropolitan police said.
A man in his 60s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder and is in custody at a south-west London police station as enquiries continue. They found three injured women, whose ages are not yet know, at the scene. A fourth victim was found in a nearby property.
