Two men are critically ill after separate assaults in Belfast in the early hours of Saturday. A man has been arrested over an assault in west Belfast in the early hours ofSaturday, in which a man in his 30s was left critically ill.
In the first attack, in the west of the city, a man in his 30s was found close to Broadway on the Falls Road. The victim was found on the Falls Road and is thought to have been struck several times in the face.
It is thought he had been struck in the face several times. A short time later, in a separate incident, another man was critically injured after being attacked near the city centre.
