Emergency services are responding to reports of a shooting at a shopping centre in Sydney’s west, police say. A man has died and two other people have been injured in a shooting at a shopping centre carpark in south-western Sydney, police say.
A NSW ambulance spokesman said crews were called to the shopping centre on Stacey Street and Rickard Road in Bankstown just before midday on Friday. Emergency services were called to the Bankstown Central shopping centre formerly known as Bankstown Centro on Stacey Street and Rickard Road just before noon where they found two men and a woman injured.
There are three patients and one has been referred to police, he said. One of the men died at the scene, police said.

News Corp has reported the person killed was a man in his 40s who is believed to have links to a Middle Eastern crime organisation. The other man and the woman were taken to hospital after being treated at the scene by paramedics.
The shooting took place in the carpark of the Bankstown Centro shopping centre, according to the report. Police said no arrests have been made and the centre car park had been closed as a precaution.
The dead man, in his 40s, was believed to have links to a crime organisation, News Corp reported.
