To the Editor: Re “Why I’m Sick of Manologues,” by Julia Baird (Op-Ed, April 21), arguing that being long-winded is a masculine tendency: Substitute any other group for “men” and this article would rightly be viewed as demeaning. Let’s stop making negative generalizations about any group. A relentless drumbeat of mocking stereotypes and criticism is damaging for boys and men to absorb, just as it is for anyone else.
