Earlier the court heard Mr Nasri admitted to an affair with a Lithuanian prostitute, Laura Mockiene, three months before his wife's murder. Mr Nasri said he was paying a Lithuanian prostitute, Laura Mockiene, for sex and had begun an affair with her three months before Mrs Patel-Nasri's death.
But he denied suggestions by the prosecution the affair had anything to do with the murder saying his wife was unaware about it and he loved his wife "very much".
He also denied knowing Ms Mockiene was pregnant at the time of the murder.
