They treated one person for minor injuries who declined to go to hospital.
Winds easing
Cheshire Constabulary classed it as a serious incident and have road closures in place on Bumpers Lane.
A spokesman said: "Members of the public were asked to remain at a safe distance while the fire brigade secured the roof using ropes."
A surveyor from Cheshire County Council was called in to assess the safety of the building.
"Early indications suggest that it will take some time to repair the damage and the road closures may remain in place for several days," the spokesman added.
Parts of the North West experienced gusting, strong to gale force winds during Saturday afternoon.
The Met Office said the north westerly gusts would gradually die down in the evening.
