(about 2 hours later)
A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in East Yorkshire after he told police where to find the body of a dead man. Police are investigating two deaths which happened hours apart at a remote beauty spot in East Yorkshire.
Detectives made the discovery at 0410 GMT after the suspect called Humberside Police and led them to the body at an address on Bempton Cliffs, Flamborough. Police arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of murder after he led officers to a man's body on Bempton Cliffs, Flamborough at 0410 GMT.
A police spokesman said the death was being treated as suspicious but it was too early to identify the victim. The night before a woman in her 50s from Bridlington, was found dead after she fell 300ft (91m) from the cliffs.
The man arrested remains in custody while police question him further. Police said the two deaths are unconnected. Post-mortem examinations are expected to be carried out later.
Woman's death
A police spokesman said the death of the man was being treated as suspicious but it was too early to identify the victim.
It is believed the suspect, who called police to alert them to the body, is related to the dead man from Derbyshire.
Hours earlier Humber coastguards discovered the woman's body lying at the bottom of the same cliff.
Watch manager Mike Purlett said: "We received a call from a man fishing off the platform that he had been a person climbing over the fence at the top of the cliffs.
"When he looked back, that person wasn't there."
Detectives said they are not treating the woman's death as suspicious.
